Michael R. Fahey


Michael has been a member of the Winkler Partners’ corporate commercial practice group since the firm’s founding in 2002.

He advises clients from the United States and the European Union with formation and licensing of companies, branches, and representative offices primarily in the technology sector.  Michael also supports the structuring and execution of corporate transactions in Taiwan including rollup acquisitions, asset purchases, and the Taiwan component of larger, global mergers.

In addition to his general corporate commercial and transactional work, Michael also advises on D&O coverage for shareholder derivative litigation and securities claims.

Outside of Winkler Partners, Michael is known in Taiwan’s international community for his leadership role in Forward Taiwan, a public interest group working on reform of Taiwanese immigration law. Michael has an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, an MA in East Asian Studies from Princeton University, and is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Michael is admitted in California.
