Mark D. McVicar
With more than 10 years of experience, Mark advises some of the world’s most well-known brand owners on the protection and enforcement of trademark and other intellectual property rights and oversees a major enforcement project for one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers. He also supports the firm’s translation department and has translated works on topics ranging from constitutional reform and Taiwanese history to legal translation of laws and regulations for numerous governmental agencies, including the Securities and Futures Commission, the Taiwan Insurance Institute, the Ministry of Education, and the Fair Trade Commission.
Mark is a long-time member of the International Trademark Association and has authored the Taiwan Trademark License section of International Licensing, published by the Center For International Legal Studies, for 2008 through 2010.
He has obtained a B.A. in History from the University of Waterloo, a B.Ed. from the University of British Columbia, as well as an MBA from Taiwan’s National Chiao Tung University College of Management. Mark is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
