European Chamber of Commerce Presents Position Papers
Senior Associate Marcus Clinch attended the European Chamber of Commerce Taipei's presentation of its 2007-2008 position papers to the cabinet-level Council of Economic Planning and Development at the Chamber's meeting with the Council today (5 Nov.).
Marcus serves as co-Chair of the Chamber's Beverage and Alcohol Committee. He has been working with Committee members to make sure that Taiwanese government is aware of industry concerns such as the practice of lot code tampering, which refers to the removal or alteration of lot code numbers from alcohol products. Lot code numbers are an important tool that allows European manufacturers of alcohol products to trace their products through the global supply chain and help ensure consumer safety.
The Chamber presented a total of 23 position papers for 2007-2008 and provided the Council with feedback on progress on recommendations made in last year's papers.
